| (Sep 23, 2011) | Black College Sports Information Directors have lost a colleague in the passing of Grambling State Assistant Sports Information Director Roderick Mosley. Mosley, 38, died of an apparent heart attack Wednesday night. He leaves behind a wife and three children.t.
The Southern University alum was in his second stint at Grambling and had also served as SID at Mississippi Valley State.

| (Jul 09, 2011) |  Wright FRANKFORT, KY — The Black Women in Sport Foundation (BWSF) recently announced additions to its Board of Directors and Advisory Board, and Kentucky State University's Sports Information Director, Danielle Wright, was named to the Advisory Board. As a member of the BWSF Advisory Board, Wright will assist with coordinating various projects, including the Next Step Coaches Conference.

Howard University’s Ed Hill and Kutztown’s Rob Knox serve on the CoSIDA Board of Directors and were actively involved in the planning for this year’s event.

 Podlogar Fayetteville State Assistant Sports Information Director Alex Podlogar
won two national awards in CoSIDA’s annual Fred Stabley Sr. Writing
Contest, it was announced on Monday.
Podlogar, who came to Fayetteville State in August 2010 following 12
years as the sports editor for two North Carolina newspapers, won honors
with the National Athlete Profile of the Year and the National General
Feature of the Year.

been appointed to serve as president of the Division II Sports
Information Directors Association (DII-SIDA). Mr. Goings will
officially assume his presidential duties at the College Sports
Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Workshop in Marco Island, FL
at the end of June.

Kansas City, MO—The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) recently announced that two HBCU SIDs have been selected for to attend the 2011 NCAA/NACWAA Institute for AdministrativeAdvancement. Elizabeth City State University SID April Emory and Kentucky State University Sports Information Director, Danielle Wright will be attending the Institute in separate locations. Emory will be atthe in st: June 2-6 in Denver, CO (Inverness Conference Center, Englewood, CO on June 2-6. Wright will attend the June 12-16 session atthe Dolce Atlanta Peachtree Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, Wright received a NACWAA Development Grant to attend.
